SUPPORT THE MISSION

Vancouver Is Buzzing Toward Becoming a Bee City USA!

We’re thrilled to announce that Vancouver is on its way to joining the growing movement of Bee City USA communities dedicated to protecting pollinators!

By prioritizing pollinator-friendly practices in city decisions and policies, we aim to create a thriving habitat for bees, butterflies, and other vital species that support our local ecosystems and food systems.

THE WHY

Why Become a Bee City USA?

Pollinators are essential to the health of our environment and economy, yet they face numerous threats, including habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change.

By becoming a Bee City USA, Vancouver will:

  • Commit to increasing native plant habitats in public and private spaces.

  • Educate the community about the critical role pollinators play in our daily lives.

  • Support sustainable landscaping practices that reduce harm to pollinators.

  • Celebrate pollinators through events, outreach, and engagement.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Let’s create a buzzworthy Vancouver where pollinators—and our community—can thrive!

As we finalize our Bee City USA designation, we’re working with local organizations, residents, and schools to make pollinator-friendly initiatives a priority.

Stay tuned for updates, volunteer opportunities, and events to get involved in this exciting journey!
