SUPPORT THE MISSION
Vancouver Is Buzzing Toward Becoming a Bee City USA!
We’re thrilled to announce that Vancouver is on its way to joining the growing movement of Bee City USA communities dedicated to protecting pollinators!
By prioritizing pollinator-friendly practices in city decisions and policies, we aim to create a thriving habitat for bees, butterflies, and other vital species that support our local ecosystems and food systems.
THE WHY
Why Become a Bee City USA?
Pollinators are essential to the health of our environment and economy, yet they face numerous threats, including habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change.
By becoming a Bee City USA, Vancouver will:
Commit to increasing native plant habitats in public and private spaces.
Educate the community about the critical role pollinators play in our daily lives.
Support sustainable landscaping practices that reduce harm to pollinators.
Celebrate pollinators through events, outreach, and engagement.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Let’s create a buzzworthy Vancouver where pollinators—and our community—can thrive!
As we finalize our Bee City USA designation, we’re working with local organizations, residents, and schools to make pollinator-friendly initiatives a priority.
Stay tuned for updates, volunteer opportunities, and events to get involved in this exciting journey!
