Vancouver Bee Project
About Us
The Vancouver Bee Project
creating a community effort to educate on the importance of pollinators
Vancouver Bee Project is creating a community effort to educate on the importance of pollinators by engaging folks of all ages as we strive to make Vancouver a certified Bee City USA. This certification is achieved through enhancing and creating habitat while advocating for the reduction and elimination of pesticide use. We envision a bee healthy Vancouver that conserves pollinator habitats, foraging sources, nesting sites, and embraces pollinators as an integral part of our environment.
our mission
WE seek to improve the local habitat for both native & managed bees in the greater Vancouver area
Our mission is to advocate for pollinators and native habitat, engage the community, and provide education about pollinators. Vancouver Bee Project seeks to improve the local habitat for both native and managed bees in the greater Vancouver area. We promote vetted organic, natural land management and beekeeping practices. We want to create a community accessible garden space to bring bees and the community together. This space would raise awareness for bees and pollinators and educate about their importance to human food security and the environment. Vancouver Bee Project strives to identify existing habitats while encouraging citizens in their own growth of new pollinator spaces throughout the community. We believe bees are vital to the health of our environment and hope to show people what they can do to help these precious natural resources in their own backyard.
