Nature’s Haven Natives
Join Vancouver Bee Project and Nature’s Haven Natives for a hands-on workshop about caring for managed mason bee nests and cocoons.
Participants will learn how to open nesting materials, identify healthy cocoons and common pests, gently clean and sort cocoons, and store them safely through the winter. Routine maintenance of reusable mason bee nesting systems can help reduce the buildup of pests and disease while preparing the next generation of bees for their spring emergence.
This event is appropriate for both new and experienced mason bee stewards. Advance registration is required through the Nature’s Haven website.
