Spring Into Planting Season with Local School Plant Sales! 🌱

It’s that time of year again—spring is in full bloom, and so is the season of local school plant sales! Beginning this week, our region will host six exciting plant sales that not only offer beautiful and beneficial plants (including natives!) but also directly support our local students and schools. Whether you’re looking to add color to your yard, start a pollinator garden, get your veggie starts, or just love plants, these events are a must-visit.

💚 Why It Matters
These plant sales are about more than just gardening. They support hands-on learning, teach students the value of native plants, and strengthen our connection to the land we call home. Plus, planting natives helps provide food and shelter for birds, bees, and butterflies—just in time for Pollinator Week in June!

🌿 Looking for Something Specific? Support Local Native Nurseries!

While the school plant sales are a great place to pick up plants, if you're looking for a specific native plant or want to expand your habitat garden even further, we encourage you to support our local native plant nurseries:

  • 🪻 Good Year Farms – Specializing in Willamette Valley native plants, including hard-to-find species and pollinator favorites.

  • 🌾 Nature’s Haven Natives – Offering an excellent selection of native shrubs, perennials, grasses, and trees for home and restoration landscapes.

These nurseries are local treasures and a great resource for building healthy, climate-resilient gardens that support our local ecosystems year-round.

🌸 We hope to see you at one—or all—of these amazing events! Bring a friend, grab some plants, and help our schools grow.
